Service guide 6 min read Updated
Low light, a made table, and nothing on the schedule for the next hour.

A stress relief massage here is the sixty-minute body massage worked at a lighter, even pressure, and it costs $60. Aromatherapy adds $10. There's no separate stress session on our menu and no separate price for one — you book the body massage, tell the therapist to keep it light, and spend the hour not talking to anybody.

What kind of massage is best for stress?

The plain body massage, at a pressure lighter than you'd pick if your back genuinely hurt. Sixty minutes is $60, ninety is $90, two hours is $120. Thirty minutes at $40 is enough for one sore neck and not enough for this.

Firm, focused work keeps part of your attention on the pressure. You brace a little, you breathe around a spot, you track the therapist's forearm coming back to the same knot. Long, even strokes at a moderate pressure ask none of that of you, which is what lets the hour go somewhere else. If one muscle does hurt, book the same session and say so at the start — the therapist adjusts, and our full body massage page covers that side of it.

How to ask for a lighter pressure

One sentence at the start does it. Nothing deep, keep it even, and I'd rather not chat. Name the shoulder to leave alone if there is one, and say so if you'd rather your neck or your feet weren't touched at all. Twenty seconds of that shapes the whole hour, and it's the only part of the session that needs you awake.

If it drifts firmer than you want at minute twenty, say “lighter” out loud. Nobody is offended by it. If you'd sooner ask for this pressure by name, it's called Swedish, and there's a page on it here — though the booking and the price are the same either way.

Aromatherapy at $10, salt stone at $20

Scented oil worked through the whole session is $10, which is the smallest amount of money on this menu that changes how a room feels. Himalayan salt stone is $20 — heated stones moved over tired muscles, which suits people who run cold or who want more warmth than oil gives on its own. Neither is bookable by itself; both get added to a session you've already picked, either in the Square flow or at the desk when you arrive. Cupping is $20 as well, but it's aimed at a tight back rather than a tired week, and it leaves round marks for a few days.

Body Massage

The full-body session, at the pressure you ask for. Tell us at the start whether you want firm and focused or slow and light — and which areas to spend time on or leave alone. Half an hour is enough for a bad neck; an hour covers the whole back, shoulders, arms and legs.

  • 30 minutes $40
  • 60 minutes $60
  • 90 minutes $90
  • 120 minutes $120

Prices in USD, exactly as our Square booking page lists them. Aromatherapy adds $10, Himalayan salt stone $20 — neither is bookable on its own.

How much is a stress relief massage in Wichita?

$60 for the hour here. Across the city, published 60-minute rates for a full-body table massage run $60–$130, and they don't spread evenly across that band — the independents sit near $60 and the day spas and national chains sit near $130, with very little in between.

The studios that put a relaxation session on the menu by name mostly sit at the top of it. Beau Monde West Spa prices its relaxing massage at $120 for sixty minutes and $160 for ninety. Massage Envy Wichita West is $130 for a non-member hour, and Hand & Stone Wichita-West is $129.95. SunJoy Massage Spa, a mile east of us on N Tyler Rd, publishes $60. All of those were read off their own pages and booking platforms in September 2026, and published prices move.

What happens during a relaxation massage?

Quiet, mostly. The talking happens in the first two minutes and the last one.

  1. Two minutes of questions

How long, how firm, and anywhere to avoid. Say the word light out loud rather than hoping it's implied, and mention it if you fall asleep easily and would rather be woken at the end.
  2. Phone face down, out of reach

You undress to whatever you're comfortable with, under a sheet, and only the area being worked on is uncovered. Then, for the next hour, nobody can get to you — no notification, no doorbell, nothing that needs an answer from you.
  3. Long strokes, warm oil, back first

Back and shoulders, then arms, legs, feet and neck, at a pace nothing else in the day runs at. Nobody will start a conversation with you. If the pressure isn't right, one word fixes it.
  4. Up slowly

Sit on the edge of the table for a minute before you stand, and drink some water. Give it a couple of minutes before you drive.

Does a massage really help with stress?

Mayo Clinic describes relaxation techniques as a way to lower stress and ease tense muscles, which is about as plain a description of this hour as anyone has written down. Mayo Clinic Health System publishes a piece specifically on massage for depression, anxiety and stress, and it puts massage among the things that help people relax and unwind. The American Massage Therapy Association holds as a formal position that massage can improve health and wellness. On the question people ask second, the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health puts it in one line: the risk of harmful effects from massage therapy appears to be low.

Where a massage stops and a doctor starts

We don't diagnose anything and we don't treat anything, and that includes anxiety and depression — those belong to a doctor, and an hour on the table sits alongside that care rather than in place of it. The NCCIH's standing advice is the line worth keeping: don't use massage therapy to postpone seeing a health care provider about a medical problem. If something is new, severe or getting worse, see a doctor first, then come and book. The two work together.

Can I get a massage in the evening in west Wichita?

Yes, seven nights a week. We're open Sun–Thu 9:30 AM – 9 PM · Fri–Sat 9:30 AM – 9:30 PM, with no closed day. A sixty-minute session that starts at 7:30 has you back in the car before nine.

That matters more than it reads, because the evening is the only free hour a lot of people in this part of town have got — after ten hours overhead on a wing panel, after the school run, after a shift that ended at seven. At several of the studios nearest us, a 7:30 start isn't on offer. Beau Monde West Spa runs Tue–Sat 9 AM–8 PM, Sun 9 AM–6 PM, closed Monday. Remedy Spa West, out on 119th St W, lists Mon 10 AM–6 PM, Tue–Wed to 5 PM, Thu–Fri to 7 PM, Sat to 5 PM — and there's no Sunday in that list. RelaxAsian Massage, also on W Central, runs Mon–Fri 9:30 AM–7:30 PM, Sat to 6 PM, Sun 1:30–6 PM. Under Pressure on W Maple is Mon–Sat by appointment, closed Sunday, so the question doesn't come up there without a booking.

Walk-ins are welcome, though that isn't the same thing as an open table at seven on a Friday, so call (316) 347-6999 before you drive over and ask what's open, or book online and stop wondering.

If Sunday is the only day you get

We're open 9:30 AM to 9 PM on Sundays, same as any other day. Under Pressure is closed Sunday and Beau Monde West Spa closes at 6 PM. Sunday evening is the quietest stretch of our week to be a guest in, and it's the one people underuse.

We're at 10646 W Central Ave #106, Wichita, KS 67212 — north side of W Central, just west of N Maize Rd, in the strip by Chili's and the Walmart Neighborhood Market. If you can't spot the door, call (316) 347-6999 and we'll walk you in. The whole menu, couples room and four-hands session included, is on one page, and there's more on the west-side drive over on our relaxing massage page.

Stress relief massage questions

What kind of massage is best for stress?
The ordinary body massage, an hour of it, at a lighter and more even pressure than you would ask for if a muscle were sore. Sixty minutes is $60. There is no separate stress session to book and no separate price for one — you book the body massage and say at the start that you want it light, slow and quiet.
How much is a stress relief massage in Wichita?
$60 for sixty minutes here, $90 for ninety. Published 60-minute rates around the city run $60–$130, with the independents at the low end and the day spas and national chains at the top. Aromatherapy adds $10 to any session and Himalayan salt stone adds $20.
Should I book 60 or 90 minutes if I just want to switch off?
Sixty is enough for most people. Book ninety at $90 if you know the first fifteen or twenty minutes go on unclenching before anything lands — that's the case for a lot of guests, and the extra half hour is where the quiet part of the session happens. Thirty minutes at $40 is for one specific sore neck, not for this.
Are the aromatherapy and salt stone add-ons worth it?
Aromatherapy is $10 — scented oil worked through the whole session, and the smallest amount of money that changes how the room feels. Himalayan salt stone is $20, heated stones moved over tired muscles, which suits people who run cold or want more warmth than oil gives on its own. Neither can be booked on its own; both are added to a session you have already chosen.
Can I come in the evening?
Yes, seven nights. We're open Sunday through Thursday 9:30 AM to 9 PM and Friday and Saturday to 9:30 PM, with no closed day in the week. Walk-ins are welcome, though a welcome isn't the same thing as an open table at seven on a Friday — call (316) 347-6999 before you drive over and ask what's open.
Will a massage help with anxiety?
Mayo Clinic Health System publishes a piece on massage for depression, anxiety and stress, and it puts massage among the things that help people relax and unwind. That's the claim we make, and it's the only one we make — relaxation and muscle tension, nothing beyond that. We don't diagnose or treat anything, so if you're working with a doctor on anxiety or depression, an hour on the table sits alongside that care rather than in place of it.
