Sixty minutes on the table is $60 here. Drive 2.7 miles north up N Maize Rd to NewMarket Square and the same hour at the two national chains runs $129.95–$130. Across the whole city, the studios that publish a 60-minute rate at all run $60–$130 — and the spread isn’t gradual. Independents cluster at the bottom, chains and full-service day spas at the top, with very little in the middle.
The two chains, 2.7 miles north
Massage Envy Wichita West publishes $130 for a non-member hour at 2441 N Maize Rd, NewMarket Square. Hand & Stone Wichita-West publishes $129.95 for its 60-minute Classic at 2835 N Maize Rd, NewMarket Square, with a $89.95 introductory rate that buys fifty minutes, once, for first-time guests. Neither page carries walk-in language anywhere.
Their 60-minute session is 50 minutes hands-on. The membership fee itself is not published; the page says contact the location.
The figure worth holding onto is $70 — Massage Envy’s own member rate for the hour, reached by signing up for a monthly membership. That is our everyday walk-up price, with nothing to join and nothing to cancel.
The neighbours who publish nothing
Six Wichita studios we checked publish no rate anywhere, two of them on W Central Ave in our own ZIP. Read across the west side and you get a number for the chains, a number for us, and a blank in between. Ours is on the menu page in full, $30 to $260, down to the add-ons.
The independents sit far closer to us than the chains do. SunJoy Massage Spa, a mile east on Tyler at 2130 N Tyler Rd, 67212, publishes $60 for 60 min of classic body massage. Under Pressure at 10100 W Maple St, west Wichita is $85 for the hour, by appointment only. Both came off their own booking pages in September 2026, and published prices change.
Who’s still open at eight on a Tuesday
We close at 9 PM Sunday through Thursday and 9:30 on Friday and Saturday, seven days, with no closed day. The west-side evening thins out fast otherwise. RelaxAsian Massage, also on W Central, runs Mon–Fri 9:30 AM–7:30 PM, Sat to 6 PM, Sun 1:30–6 PM. Remedy Spa West at 716 N 119th St W, 67235 runs Mon 10 AM–6 PM, Tue–Wed to 5 PM, Thu–Fri to 7 PM, Sat to 5 PM. Beau Monde West Spa runs Tue–Sat 9 AM–8 PM, Sun 9 AM–6 PM, closed Monday, and Under Pressure is Mon–Sat by appointment, closed Sunday.
Textron Aviation is about 13 minutes south of here and Spirit AeroSystems about 23 southeast. If your shift ends at seven and you’d rather not drive across town first, the list of places still taking people gets short in a hurry.
Walk in or book — both work
Of the 18 Wichita studios we looked at, 14 state a booking policy in their own words and 10 of those are appointment-only. A walk-in policy doesn’t mean every slot is free, though. Weekday evenings after 5:30 are our busiest stretch — call (316) 347-6999 before you drive over and ask what’s open.
Who’s in the chair on a Thursday evening
Mostly people who just came off a shift. More than 20,000 people build airplanes in this city between the two big airframe plants, by Choose Wichita’s count, and Textron Aviation is 13 minutes south of our door. Ascension Via Christi employs roughly 5,400 people locally and USD 259 around 5,600. Add Wichita Northwest High School 1.7 miles northeast and the Park West Plaza senior living community inside a quarter mile, and the six-to-eight stretch fills with people who want half an hour on the feet at $30, or the hour on the table at $60, on the way home. Almost nobody books three weeks out.
The ZIPs, and how far a mile road really is
Along W Central the mile roads sit almost exactly a mile apart — 119th St W, Maize, Tyler, Ridge — so when somebody out here says a mile east, they mean Maize to Tyler. We’re in Westlink Village, and the neighborhoods a few minutes from the door are the ones you’d expect: Westlink, Golden Hills, Oak Cliff Estates, Sandalwood Village, Western Gardens, Westborough Arms, Rolling Hills. Swanson Park is a 5-minute walk north of us.
